The accelerating economic growth in China has contributed to the flourishing of itssports undertakings. With the improvement in livelihood and civilized culture of Chinesepeople, their demand on sports participation has been on constant rise, and the way theytake part in sports activities has changed. The previous mode of developing sports industrysimply relying on governments can no longer meet the needs of current sports development, hence the mode of sports socialization, which accelerates the synergetic development ofathletic clubs in China.Setting athletic clubs in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces as the research objects, thispaper, by means of such research methods as documentation, mathematics statistics, comparison and logical analysis, conducts a comparative analysis with respect to theevolvement of athletic clubs in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces from2009to2011byfocusing on aspects including quantity of athletic clubs, coaches and club members, annualtraining classes, and annual organizational activities. Meanwhile, corresponding reasonablesuggestions and scientific strategies are put forward so that athletic clubs at different placescan draw upon one another and the decision-makers can have a reference to turn to whenformulating strategies. As is known to all, the quantity of local athletic clubs speaks volumes for thecomprehensive strength of sports industry in a certain region, and the quantity of clubmembers serves as a guarantee for the capital chain of a club with the coach team bearingdirectly on the operation of sports activities within the club. It is demonstrated by researchresults that from2009to2011, total volume measuring the development of allundertakings in athletic clubs in Jiangsu Province turned out several times that in ZhejiangProvince during the same period with a number of indicators featuring a relatively slowgrowth and showing a significant lack of development momentum. The development ofathletic clubs in Zhejiang Province, although revealing a relatively rapid growth with a number of indicators surpassing those of Jiangsu during the same period by many times interms of the growth rate, was characterized by an overall weak base just like thehigh-frequency short strides in a sprint which call for strenuous efforts but end up withlittle progress. Thus it can be seen that deficiency is found in various aspects of athleticclubs in both Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces, posing a rigorous challenge to theirevolvement.
