Methodology And Application Of Community Harmonious Development Index

Based on the analysis of current situation of harmonious community construction of Zhejiang Province, and standing on two aspects of both objective environment and the subjective feeling of community residents, this report proposed the Community Objective Index of Harmonious Development and Community Subjective Index of Harmonious Development. Furthermore, it synthesized two index systems and constructed the Community Comprehensive Index of Harmonious Development. This index helps to make comparisons between different communities, and can monitor the degree of the harmonious development of single community, which may aid a lot in decision-making for the community managers.Specifically, Community Objective Index of Harmonious Development includes community environment, community service, community management, community culture, and community economic. It combines the Delphi Method and AHP to determine the weights. And collecting data by questionnaire survey, Community Subjective Index of Harmonious Development includes seven sub-indexes, and calculates values by PLS-SEM. Community Comprehensive Index of Harmonious Development then integrates the two above-mentioned index systems by a nonlinear weighting method.Acting as a model of harmonious community construction, Shangcheng District of Hangzhou is famous for its’Shangcheng model’. This report used’S community’as an example, and applied the Community Index of Harmonious Development into this sample community. The research calculated the subjective and objective index of S community, analyzed the problems existing in its harmonious community construction in detail. In addition, it pointed out the right direction for its future harmonious development.At the end of the report, according to the research outcomes of S community, it put forward some advices for community managers and community residents, attempting to promote the development of the harmonious community.
