In order to better adapt to the requirement of new curriculum reform and promotethe good development of quality education, ideological and political teaching in seniormiddle school should advance with the times, actively reform the traditional teachingmethod, effort to create a new type of education teaching mode. Inquiry teaching as akind of modern teaching methods, take the student as the center, helps students todevelop their potential and shape students’ exploration spirit. Introducing the teachingmethod in the practical teaching of senior middle school ideological and politicalcurriculum and constructing inquiry teaching mode, to make the students learning ininquiry, explore in the study, obtain knowledge from the interaction between teachersand students, improve ability that is the key of the current teaching work. The seniormiddle school ideological and political classroom as an important basis ofimplementation of inquiry teaching, ideology and politics teachers should take this as acarrier, and real effective combine the teaching method with the ideological andpolitical curriculum to promote the practice transition of the subject teaching mode.For teachers, this is a significant challenge, can drive the renewal of their teachingknowledge, improvement of teaching level, the innovation of teaching. For students,under the guidance of teachers, can walk out from the previous monotony of theideological and political teaching in senior middle school, changing the originalpassive learning, actively to acquire knowledge, thus improve their ability to explore,learning ability, application ability.Inquiry teaching of meaning, characteristic, modes, its application in teaching andso on all are studied by domestic and foreign scholars, which has achieved someresults. Inquiry teaching should follow four basic principles: the principle ofequality—respect individuality, consistent treatment; guiding principle--correctguidance, correction improper; novelty principle--design diversity, advocatemultiplicity; extensibility principle--expand teaching, pursuing practical results. Atpresent, the inquiry teaching in our country has a certain application, despite someachievements, but there are still some deficiencies. Through questionnaire survey oninquiry teaching about NO.1Senior Middle School in Zoucheng City, discusses the senior middle school teachers and students’ emerging issues in the process of inquiryteaching, such as: improper inquiry, inquiry activities of poor organization, low classparticipation, the weak sense of self-exploration. Existing problems are due to theschool paying little attention to the teaching method, and the teaching of the providesinadequate resources, organizational training less; Teachers’ education concept limitedand incomplete knowledge structure, lack of comprehensive ability; Students’ physicaland mental development degree has a difference, lack of exploring interest, slowchange of the role, conversion difficulties of the method; Evaluation system is notperfect. In view of the problems and reasons, if we want to play effectiveness ofinquiry teaching and promote the forward development of inquiry teaching ofideological and political curriculum in the senior middle school, school as the mainposition, should optimize the teaching environment continuously, provide materialsupport and provide support system; Teachers as the guide and implementers, shouldupdate education idea, accumulate teaching experience, strengthen teaching designability, enhance the classroom control ability, improve the capacity of curriculumdevelopment and multimedia using ability, using the inquiry procedure must becarefully designed every aspect, grasp each question attentively, pay attention to allstudents carefully; As learners, students should have to explore consciousness, enhanceintrinsic motivation, develop their own potential; Evaluation system as a result of theinquiry process and measure, should strive to objective and fair, and the pursuit ofscientific and comprehensive, enrich the perfect. In order to strengthen the applicationof the theory, the article finally put the teaching method combined with the specificcontent of ideological and political course in the senior middle school, choose therequired a economic life: consumer and its type, the frame and design theinquiry-based teaching cases, shows the application of inquiry teaching in theclassroom.In a word, inquiry teaching is only in the process of the use of senior middleschool ideological and political curriculum, which will constantly enrich, to improveteachers’ teaching work, to promote students’ learning method and the change of role,will for quality education and new class modified better to service, will perfect thoughtpolitics of teaching theory system, makes that to the flow of water never dry up and running more than, full of vitality.
