Since the new curriculum reform, research on middle and high schoolmathematics convergence has not stopped. Due to the different characteristics ofjunior high school mathematics, changing of teachers teaching methods, restrictionsof the students learning methods and thinking capacity, and other reasons, the earlyrise of the students at the beginning of learning mathematics at high school tend to notadapt very well.Based on the research literature of high school freshman for the study, the use ofquestionnaires, interviews and statistical analysis to study the case of a high schoolfreshman math learning. Using SPSS software to statistic and analyze the result.Through the analysis and research, the study finds that there are some problems ofstudents in mathematics learning psychology, learning motivation, learningmathematics and mathematics learning habits. First, there are some psychologicaldependence and the fear in mathematics learning for a high school freshman.Secondly, because of the education system, a large number of the students to studymathematics to admit to the university. Moreover, under the new curriculum reform,student study habits, although somewhat improved, but they are lacking in certaintyabout learning methods. These problems resulted in a considerable number of studentsfeel learning mathematics were difficult. On the basis of the relevant literature, aimingat these problems, the study put forward that if we want to adjust or change the way ofhigh school freshman mathematics learning, and to make the students correcting theirmathematical learning attitude and motivation, even to improve math learningefficiently, students must cultivate their own confidence in learning mathematics,search for their own learning, and keep interest in mathematics learning, at the sametime, teachers should pay attention to make the beginning of high school mathematicsconvergence, change the concept, develop students self-learning ability, andstrengthen the guidance of the study method.
