As a result of the rapid expansion of the scale of postgraduate education, our country has become the number of postgraduate student education power, but with the increase in the number of postgraduate students, many problems also exist in the process of postgraduate education in our country is increasingly apparent, the postgraduate education quality problem increasingly cause the attention of academic circles. In this paper, focusing on the process management, combining with the famous quality control method-total quality management method of comprehensive, full, whole process thought, strengthen quality monitoring and management in the whole process in the quality of graduate education management. Strengthening quality management in the whole process of graduate education is not only the requirement of present postgraduate education, and also related to each postgraduate student’s development and the overall quality of the postgraduate education in our country, therefore has an important practical significance.On the basis of describing the theory of total quality management and the content of process management of postgraduate education, according to the logic thinking of ask questions, analyze and solve problems, from the current status quo of process management of postgraduate education, sorting out fact data, based on the theory of total quality management, put forward to strengthen the monitoring and management of process in the quality control of graduate education. Based on the five main content in the process of postgraduate education: training plan, course and assessment, scientific research, graduation thesis and research supervisor for effective management, and questionnaire survey was conducted to Dalian university of technology postgraduate students according to the five contents, to understand the current situation of Dalian university of technology in the process of postgraduate education in several content for the management and existing problems, and combined with interviewing the students who have study abroad experience.conclude the valid data and analysis, to provide reference and data support for study of postgraduate education, the process management of postgraduate education in colleges and universities more standardized and scientific. And develop a process of postgraduate student training record book, in order to make postgraduate training process more detailed, pay attention to strengthen quality management in the whole process of postgraduate education, hoping to achieve the continuous quality improvement of postgraduate education in our country.
