With the development of the society and the progress of era, probability and statistics has become an important part of the knowledge system for every citizen. Now probability and statistics as a part of the university entrance exam is disfributed over the whole period of high school, but few teaching research on probability and statistics in the domestic has been done. It is very important that strengthen teaching research of probability and statistics. Based on the above, author investigates and studies deeply teaching of probability and statistics by selecting some mathematics teachers and students of high school in Puyang City.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part mainly involves the background, reasons, research situation, purpose and significans of the teaching research of probability and statistics.The second part discusses the comparation of the new curriculum standard with the syllabus, the characteristics of the teaching of probability and statistics.The third part studies the teaching of probability and statistics by use of literature, surveys, interviews and teaching experiments.The fourth part analyses guestionnaiire of the teachers and students, which includes two parts, one analyses the concept, the basic situation, the understanding of concept and formula, the judgment of the probability value, the understanding of random thoughts and statistics etc, the other studies understanding and application of basic concepts and formalas in the probability and statistics, ability to collect, sort, analyse data.The fifth part is that teaching case is designed by the section of "the frequency of the sample distribution to estimates population distribution"and wakes teaching experiment by selecting the students of some class in high school. The results show that the reasonable use of teachers’teaching methods to the students acceptance is more conducive.The sixth part summarizes the main conclusions of this paper through analysis questionnaire datas and survey the teaching experiments, gives some advice to teachers and schools. It is hoped that these suggestions can be widely adopted.
