Since China’s reform and opening up, along with our country socialist marketeconomic system, the establishment and development of Chinese and western culturalexchange and collision, college students’ thought profound changes in ideology. Value as ameasure of the intrinsic properties of things, is invisible, intangible, but decides thedirection and tendency of the development of the people. Value orientation is the importantcontent of college students’ future development requirements and value guide, played a keyrole for students to better success. In this paper, by using the theory of value orientation,marxist philosophy theories and research methods of higher education, the collegestudents’ value orientation since the reform and opening up the evolution of the track, withthe development of higher education in the process of critical events as a time node,divided into the beginning of reform and opening up, the late20th century, the early21stcentury, and the current four different stages of development among college students, andpoints out that the form of college students in different stages of the value orientation andthe main characteristics, from the establishment of the socialist market economy, theestablishment of the reform and opening and gradually thorough, the influence of familyeducation and the use of the new social lifestyle and promotion and other objective reasonsand do not have a unified ideological understanding bias, macmillan, their owndevelopment requirements, and the subjective factors such as the contradiction of socialdevelopment two aspects analyzes the causes of college students’ value orientation change;Summed up the value orientation from oneness to diversity, value goal from unity togradation transformation, value evaluation standard from sole to pluralism, the change ruleof subjectification explore college students’ value orientation, reality, the developmenttrend of diversification, and give full play to the role of main channel of ideological andpolitical education, the development of rich and colorful social practice, strengthen thesupervision of network public opinion and management from three aspects of opinions andSuggestions, to enhance the pertinence and efficiency of the value orientation of collegestudents’ education.
