Algorithm as a new content of the new curriculum reform, it is an important part of ancient Chinese mathematics and modern applied mathematics.With the development of information technology,it plays a more and more important role in social life.Algorithm has become a basic mathematical literacy which modern citizens should have.The paper begins with the investigation of the present teaching and learning situation of algorithm in Hubei province.Drawing the following main conclusions:(1) Most of the teachers and students agree with the concept of "curriculum standard" about algorithm, they welcome algorithm introduced into the high school mathematics curriculum.(2)They agree that learning algorithm can improve the ability of computer programming, but disagree it can inherit and carry forward the ancient mathematics culture.(3) The application of the algorithm in the other mathematics content is very poor, and lack of clear requirements and effective guidance about the combining form.(4) Part of the teachers and students only pay attention to the problem solving, ignore the cultivation of algorithm and penetration of algorithm thought.(5) The content and format of teacher training can’t meet the needs of algorithm teaching, there are short of curriculum resources.Second classify and analyze some algorithm test problems of the past two years, then provide a good guide for combining with other content effectively.Finally based on the theory of PCK, I try to make a teaching design and analysis on the concept of algorithm and the case of algorithm, as a complementary resources of algorithm teaching course.
