Curriculum standard of Chinese proposes requirements for the teaching of writingamong senior high school students. Students should learn to observe life from differentaspects and enrich their life experience as well as emotional experience. What’s more, theyshould have their own ideas about nature, society and life. They should be able to state theirviews in a responsible manner,express their real feelings and cultivate the spirit of science andreason. They are required to present their ideas in a true manner, select material according tothe center, and strive to express individuality and creation. So students should learn toaccumulate material from many aspects in life, writing more according to their own feeling."2014Shandong examination instructions" also put forward relevant requirements for thehigh school writing teaching:writing should conform to the requirements of the narrative style;feelings should be sincere;thoughts should be healthy; the content should be rich;the centershould be clear; language should be fluent;the structure should be complete. Both the syllabusand instruction put forward clear and specific requirements for high school writing. Narrativewriting is the basis of writing and narrative style is fit to express the sincere feelings, reflectsthe observation and feelings of the life and display students’ individuality.The teachers mainlyfocus on the argumentive writing in writing training because they think it easier for them toconform some rules and conform to the writing requirements of the college entranceexamination. However, we have neglected the narrative writing was the basis ofargumentative writing.It is misleading to ignore the basic training of thinking in narrativewriting rather than pursue the argumentative skills and routine training.In the teaching of narrative writing, people often act according to their own will. Theyoften study some points instead of a systematic study, lacking the instruction of the wholeprocess and guidance of every step,which results inefficient or ineffective phenomenon.According to my own10years’ high school teaching practice, from the perspective ofteaching practice, I link through guidance, training with promotion,constructing a system ofnarrative training and making some achievements. Guidance means sequence and system inwriting. Teachers should give guidance from four aspects of choosing proper topic, selectionof material, strengthening in the description of details, improvement of language proficiency.Training means student train themselves according to sequence under teachers’ instruction,using point to point training. Promotion means students can finally solve the problem of choosing proper topics, material selection, language and description of details etc. I hope Ican form a systematic and valuable theory which can guide teaching according to my ownteaching practice, enhance students narrative writing ability and improve students’ writingcompetence finally.
