Private higher vocational education in our country after ten years of development, the education resources has lightened the burden to the nation, the opportunity to study for many young people, powerfully promoted our country’s higher vocational education diversified education the main body of the formation and diversification of the school-running system perfect, raised a lot of medium degree of talent employment rate and employment levels, obtained from the general recognition of the society from all walks of life.But at the same time, along with the rapid development of private higher vocational colleges at the same time, also exposed many problems, such as fewer and fewer students, the characteristics of fuzzy, poor school training, practice condition, makes the general public for higher vocational education quality produced a lot of questions, and reduces support in all aspects of the lot. makes private higher vocational colleges becomes more and more difficult. Modern private higher vocational colleges to survival and development in the competition, differentiated competitive strategy (features of running a school) has become a necessary.SH academy is a "finance" for the characteristics of private higher vocational colleges, has ten years of development history. In the face of increasingly fierce competition of similar colleges, SH college adhere to the good faith education, hard work, has withstood the test and stress, scale expands unceasingly, the rising of the brand influence, better realize the phased development goals. However, the development of the school is also facing many new problems, such as:students quality haphazard, recruitment difficulties, insufficient funds, employment bottlenecks, and so on. So save for a rainy day, take the initiative to explore the direction of development of the school and the competition strategy, to promote school sustainable development path, is SH colleges should attach great importance to the research topic.Based on Michael porter’s theory of competition to SH school of competitive strategy as the research object, first of all, theoretically for the competitive strategy theory were summarized, for total cost leadership strategy, differentiation strategy and focused strategy theoretical analysis is presented. Secondly, from the history, teaching environment, school characteristic data, student enrollment, students, student achievement, student management, teaching management and employment data of SH were analyzed college development present situation, existing problems and the cause of the problem. Again, for SH college competition environment was analyzed, and the application of SWOT analysis, analyses the SH college’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. SH college advantage is embodied in: founder and managing high comprehensive quality, flexible running mechanism, skills, strong sense; Disadvantage is embodied in:the limited running autonomy, limited sources of funds, insufficient teachers construction, the recruitment of students employment disadvantage; SH college external opportunity:the government’s attention and culture, policy support, social demand and situation need, the education market pull; External threats are:poor public opinion environment, imperfect management function, education market challenges and policy, etc. Five model is used to analyze the current competitors, suppliers, buyers, substitutes, new entrants, such as the status of the five competitive forces.The article, from the overall train of thought for SH college differentiation competitive strategy are compared with those of the path. Finally, put forward the proposals SH college differentiation competitive strategy:namely, the construction of campus culture differentiation, faculty development differentiation, funding channels differentiation, differentiation development positioning differentiation, teaching way, the employment oriented differentiation, students develop differentiation and characteristics of professional differentiation, hope for SH college provides some references for the strategic planning and management decisions.
