With the development of economy in China, the number of migrant workersmigrant workers increased, but because of the household registration system andlimited economic conditions they have to trust their kids at home to take care ofothers, these children formed the rural left-behind children this special group of thesociety. Because their parents are not around, rural left-behind children lack ofparental care and education, physical and mental, learning, growth are faced with lossof control, lack of education and imbalance, especially psychological problem is veryprominent.In order to verify whether the physical exercise interventions have a positiveimpact on the psychological health of children left behind in rural areas of HengyangCity, the first in three villages of Hengyang city primary school with mental healthdiagnostic scale (MHT) was used to measure the level of mental health of rural pupils,with class for the unit adopts three grade cluster sampling, the fourth grade primaryschool the sixth grade, the fifth grade,514students for this research questionnaire,understand the current status of their mental health; the441effective questionnaires,data display:361children left behind in rural areas,188boys and173girls, nonleft-behind children80people. Then through physical exercise intervention method tostudy the effect of physical exercise on left behind children in rural area of Hengyangcity.The results are as follows:(1) The experimental group and control group inphysical exercise intervention before and after diagnosis of mental health scalemeasurement results show that before intervention, there was no significant differencebetween two groups, the psychological level; After the intervention, between the twogroups in learning anxiety, anxiety, physical symptoms, MHT scores to the personexist significant differences, there are significant differences on remorse tendency.(2) The experimental group in physical exercise intervention before and afterdiagnosis of mental health scale measurement results show that the experimentalgroup in learning anxiety, anxiety and impulsiveness and MHT scores to people and intervention before has a very significant difference (P <0.01); Tended to blame,allergies, physical symptoms, and before intervention has significant difference (P <0.05); Loneliness tend to be improved.(3) By the experiment of the experimental group and the control group beforeand after diagnosis of mental health scale data statistical results show that physicalexercise intervention of Hengyang countryside left-behind children of function andthe positive impact of improving mental health.Rural left-behind children’s psychological problem is a complex and problems inthe system, all aspects of the joint is needed to better solve the problem. According tothe result of the investigation, this study from the aspects of school, family, societyand government put forward their own Suggestions.
