Composition teaching is an important but difficult part in Chinese language teachingin primary schools. Such a situation has been existing for long---composition has posed afear both for students to practice, and for teachers to teach. By means of survey andanalysis, together with summary of experiences, and document research, the root of suchphenomenon is explored and sorted out---a lack of serialization in composition teachingin primary schools, which results in the inefficiency of composition teaching, anddissolving of students’ interests in composition writing. Therefore, in order to improve theteaching efficiency, change the randomness and disorders in composition teaching, ascientific but easy-to-handle sequence in composition teaching should be devised.This research will explore the construction of serialization in composition teaching inprimary schools. On the basis of students’ thinking capabilities, cognitive levels at differentages, the researcher, in combination with years of teaching experiences and relatedtheories, designs a series of concrete programs which is realistic and easy to practice,applicable to composition practice in primary schools. A scientific and reasonable gradientis presented from easy to difficult so as to guide composition teaching in an effective way,with the ultimate goal to arouse students’ interest in writing, cultivate their thinkingpatterns, and enhance their capabilities in composition writing as a whole.The exploration into the regularity and methods in serialization of compositionteaching in primary schools could be considered as a supplement and adjustment in currentChinese language teaching in primary schools. A student-centered classroom is hoped toestablish to stimulate students’ initiative in composition practice, and the appropriate routein progressive composition teaching is presented as an effective guidance to Chineselanguage teachers in primary schools.
