Teaching Chinese as a second language is the process that teachers give ChineseCommunication skills and relevant knowledge to Non-native Chinese learners. This process isdivided into parts: The overall design, textbook compilation, teaching implementation andteaching test. The core part which directly related to the quality and success of teaching isteaching implementation in Chinese Foreign education.Instructional Design is a process using system to analyze the problem and determine theteaching objectives teaching. Establishment of teaching problem solving strategies program, trialsolutions. comments trial results and to modify the program. Instructional design is the mostimportant teaching implementation, because it is based on teachers teaching activities, is apowerful guarantee orderly conduct of the classroom. Appropriate instructional design enables tooptimize classroom teaching. Therefore, the study of teaching Chinese as a Foreign instructionaldesign has a very important significance.In this paper, we take students of Benjiama Phetchaburi school in Thailand as teachingsubject, make a instructional design with lesson "Happy Birthday to You" in "Chinese Course"written by Jizhou Yang, to provide reference and help for the future Elementary ChineseComprehensive Course.This dissertation contains five chapters:Chapter one is introduction which includes literature review, significance of the topic,theoretical background of the research and research methodology.Chapter two is the basis of the teaching design, which includes class type analysis, teachingmaterial analysis and audience analysis.Chapter three is the teaching design of Happy Birthday to You, which includes the aim, content and strategy of teaching design.Chapter four is teaching reflection, which includes the advantage and disadvantage of theteaching design.Chapter five is conclusion of the paper.
