It is particularly important to cultivate students’ interest in learning Chinese in teachingChinese as a foreign language. It is the first step that foreign students can continue to learn andmaster the Chinese language. If the students’ interest in learning the Chinese language has notbeen established by Chinese teacher, they may produce the fear of hardship to cause them to giveup learning Chinese. In Thailand, many cities, such as Bangkok, Pattaya, etc.Although Chinesecan be used as the main foreign language teaching, but in most areas, there is still no goodlearning environment. Chachoengsao,where the author was working as a Chinese teacher, is thecase, in order to build students’ interest in learning, I use ample games for teaching in theclassroom and have obtained the certain effect.This article is mainly based on the class teaching of Phanomsarakham “Phanom AdunWittaya” Middle School,Chachoengso,Thailand, as the research background, adopting the caseanalysis method and questionnaire survey and other research methods to study the practicalapplication and effects of games teaching method in Thailand classroom. At first, the articleintroduces the basic principles to be followed in teaching the game and some of the advantages,and secondly, with EP class of Grade Two of Phanomsarakham “Phanom Adun Wittaya” MiddleSchool as an example, presents some practical teaching cases, which were applied in Thailandclass, and analyze the relevance of each game and the corresponding learning outcomes. Finally,the author has carried a special questionnaire among the teaching class to survey the students’attitudes and perceptions of using the game in the class teaching.Through the research in this paper, I believe that in teaching Chinese as a foreign languagein Thailand, the appropriate use of games for teaching can enhance students’ enthusiasm forlearning Chinese, improve the traditional teaching effect, make classroom teaching more flexible,easy to get students to accept. Secondly, the use of games teaching method in Chinese as aforeign language in Thailand, to some extent, can cultivate students ’interest in learning Chinese,improve the students’ enthusiasm for initiative learning Chinese. It is helpful for students to getinto the habit of learning Chinese. Finally, we believe that in the use of games in education, we must pay attention to the students’ personality characteristics and Chinese level, design rationalgames for teaching. We must pay attention to the communicative and interesting of the games. Itis the most important point in reasonable use of games teaching method that to grasp thedifficulty of the game to make the game follows the principle of relevance.
