Higher Education Counselor Regulation (The Ministry of Education Instruction No.24) clearly states that higer education counselor who owns both the teachers and cadres dual identity and the guidence of students is an important component of the teacher and management team. In China, the higer education counselor took a lot of work in academic advising, career counseling,psychological health education,career service, dormitory management, crisis management, students financial aid,safety education, health services and other services.These heavy task not only adds complexity to counselors’ work but also makes the counselors’ work prominent.The work of higer education counselors put forward high request to their perfomance either on the nature or the coverage of their work.Taking higher education counselors as research object, the present research investigated the effects of psychological contract on its performance, and on this basis propose to enhance the higher education counselor’s performance strategy. By summarzed the theory in psychological contract and work perfomance in China and abroad,this research designed the questionnaires on psychological contract and performance for higer education counselors in Bengbu and surrounding areas.In the questionnaire reliability and validity of the test, based on a factor analysis to determine the psychological Contract dimension college counselors and performance dimensions.Conclusions of this research for higher education counselor’s psychological contract contains material three dimensions as security responsibilities, career development responsibility and environmental responsibility,the work performance of counselor includes task performance, other performance, innovation performance in three dimensions,and each counselor psychological contract dimensions and work performance scores were significantly positively correlated, which supports environmental counselor psychological contract responsibility dimension impact on KPI of the most significant task performance.According to the research conclusions,this research given advice to improve the performance of the work of higher education counselors from various dimensions of their psychological contract, training instructors team consciousness, strengthening the passionate in their job and devotion spirit of dedication.In order to promote the counselor’s political status and economic benefits, we should construct scientific and reasonable evaluation system of compensation by using reasonable reward incentive counselor on the basis of material guarantee.Taking career development as a guidance, we should provide good career development plans for higher education counselors.
