Nowadays more and more rural children, under the label of new generation migrant workers, are going into the cities and factories along the road of their fathers, which have a certainly self-evident meaning of underlying reproduction.Diffrent from the structure and system perspectives succeded by most researchs,Paul Willis advanced the concept of "culture production" contained the subjective perspective of underlying actors, which created a new academic tradition. As the core conception of culture production theory, the study on educational expectation has theoretical and practical significance. On one hand, the educational expectation and academic performance are mutual reinforcing, which decide the future educational status. On the other hand, educational expectation also reflect people’s judgement and confidence on their own ability, which heralded the choice of the future education and career type.According to the survey data collected by "China’s rural left-behind children investigation "from2012to2014in Henan province, this article take the rural junior middle school students as the study object, operate the educational expectation as educational aspiration and educational confirmation.Using binary Logistic model, multiple regression analysis, discriminant analysis and other statistical methods to test the proposed research hypotheses, this article presents the situation and characteristics of educational expectation of current rural junior middle school students, then verify the effect mechanism on academic achievement by educational expectation, and specificly analysis the formation and influencial factors of the educational expectation. The study found that:First, by establishing the ideal type, there are three trends of educational expectation among the rural junior middle school students, which are"low aspiration and low confirmation","high aspiration and low confirmation"and "high aspiration and high confirmation",revealing the discrimination between the migrant workers’children and normal farmers’children;Second, the educational expectation of parents and children in rural family are positively correlated to children’s academic achievement, which show the "self-fulfilling prophecy";Third, the variables of parents’ educational aspiration, experience of parent-child separation and social capital from school have a significant impact on the educational expectation of rural junior middle school students in different ways.On the basis of above discussion, this article rethink the educational expectation theory, put forward the"disembedded rasing mode" theory to epitomize the main mechanism which reduce the educational expectation of rural childrenAt last, this paper discusses the disadvantages of taking migratory job and the boarding system of rural school, point out that rural school social work with multiple participation should be established, which will improve the educational expectation of farmers’ children and make rural education more equitable.
