In order to improve the quality of foreign language teaching, primary and secondary schools in out country began to implement new English curriculum standard in2011. The curriculum standard emphasizes classroom teaching must be from the "teacher-centered" to "student-centered", from the "knowledge transfer" to the "construction of knowledge". To achieve this transformation, the new curriculum standard emphasizes the interactive learning in teaching process. The implementation of the new English curriculum standard caused the further study and thinking for the middle school English teaching, but few people study the problems of the English homework. Sthdents’ homework has great influence on students’ learning effectiveness, and also has great help to develop students’ ability of autonomous learning. In the current English homework, the teachers ignore the students’ development of the comprehensive ability. The form of English homework makes the students lose their interest. In order to improve the situation of the current English homework, the thesis discusses the form of homework which can stimulate students interest and improve the students’ score.This paper is based on the survey to the two classes in Grade7in No.1Middle School in Xi Country. It explores the three forms of homework,"look and answer""comments on music""role play", is how to stimulate students interest. The data of questionnaires shows that the students can finish the homework forwardly, more students feel that the homework is easy to do and are willing to do, fewer students are not interested in homework. At the same time, the interviews of the students further show that three forms of homework stimulate the students’ interest, and in the process of the interview, the students agreed that boring, difficult, mandatory homework become interesting and easy to do, and even look forward to do them. The results of experiment show that the amout and quality of homework are improved under the guidance of MIT, and the scores of the students are also improved. In the process of doing homework, the gender difference also has influence in the homework.The research confirmed that the theory of multiple intelligences is effective to improve English teaching quality.
