At the beginning of researching materials,they are on a par with textbooks. Withthe further study of teaching materials the connotation of the teaching material hasbeen extended. The textbook is only part of the teaching material. This differenceoccurs, making the function of variety. Textbooks are educational materials whenexposed to students.In addition to reflect "teach" functions, They should reflectalso contribution to students for the so-called "learning" function. But the currenttextbooks are almost consistently tending to "teaching"Function.Accordingly, it isenvisaged addendum to a special kind of textbook to help students"learning", andthe"Learning Material" conception was born."Learning Material" is decided bytheir own nature, it is also the urgent need of the current education reform.“Learning material” is the new trend in our country, who is based on theabove-mentioned foothold. This paper attempts to explore what is "learningmaterial"from the perspective of students.By analyzing the origin of learningmaterials and related research, combined with a my own point of view, redefine theconcept of “learning material”.Combining of cognitive learning theory, learningtheory of Behaviorism and humanism teaching theory as the theoretical basis,explore the ideas and content of learning materials and to prepare selectedfeatures, to present rendering features and functions of learning materials therendering features and functions of learning materials,and on this basis oflearning material, adapted from the 《cell structure》.Finally, collects studentfeedback and teacher observations of the trial, find out shortcomings in design, forfurther inquiry determined the direction of learning material.
