Currently, our country is in the rapid development period of social informatization. The emergence and continuous progress of the network technology make people’s consumption concept and consumption patterns profound changed. With the deepening development of information technology, network information consumption gradually entered the view of thecollege students. To meet the needs of their own development, college students begin to consume information rely on the Internet frequently. However, the information on the Internet are intermingled both good and bad, such as pornographic, violence, reactionary, gambling, fraud and other badinformation and useless information filled with the whole Internet. The complex and chaotic information world would bring many negative effectsto the college students with poor discrimination abilities. These all havea serious impact on the comprehensive development of college students.Therefore, based on the current status of college students’ network information consumption in our country, the deep and careful analysis and research have been done by using the information science, informatics, ethics, political science, economics, education, law, management and other related disciplines theory knowledge in this paper.To solve the existing problems about college students’ consumptionof network information, education measures are guided and expanded byusing the method of literature research, questionnaire survey method, empirical research method, comprehensive analysis research methods from the perspective of College Students’ consumption of network information.First, the research background, purpose, significance and research status at home and abroad were introduced, and then from the overview information, through the analysis on the meaning of information consumption, classification of information consumption, information consumption characteristics and consumption of network information of the meaning and development, the meaning and characteristics of College students’ consumptionof network information were summarized. Then, the status of the collegestudents in our network information consumption were discussed from the positive and negative two angles. From the positive effects, the numberof network consumer information is large and the content is extensive so that students increase knowledge and understanding of the society, enrichthe spiritual life, which can promote college students’ all-round development. From the negative effect, the physical and mental health of the students are endangered with some bad information consumption from the network information and it has a great impact on the formation and establishm ent of students "correct" three outlooks, at the same time, network information consumption weaken the college students’ recognition of our national culture and mainstream ideology sense and enable students to breed thehedonism, mammonism and the utilitarianism. In addition, the network information consumption also caused problems of College Students’ Internet addiction if not been controlled. Secondly, the causes of the present college students’ network information consumption problem were analyzed.The author thinks that there are many causes of College Students’ network information consumption status because government supervision is notenough, the regulatory mechanism is not perfect; some school related departments do not pay enough attention to the problem of network information consumption, the lack of supervision to information consumption in campus network, the network information consumption of college students is not good enough, and the ideological and political education guide in school is not enough and so on; there are some reasons about wrong demonstration of parents, the lack of supervision of network information and guidance and other aspects of the family; also have students with poor analyzing and discriminating ability, self-control ability because of lack of loftyideals, ideological and political qualities such as lack of personal aspects.At last, according to the problem of College Students’ network information consumption, the measures of the students’ correct information consumption from the aspects of the college students’ network information are pu t forward. The author thinks that the problem of network information consumption of college students should be analyzed from multi-angle and multi-pronged. Not only from the point of view of national security information perspective, through macro policy, the development of network information consumption mechanism, establish and improve the network information consumption and increase the network information consumption supervision from the government and relevant departments, improve productquality and information network information service level to solve the network information consumption of college students problems. But also from the management of higher education and the perspective of ideologicaland political education, strengthen the campus network information consumption management, establish and improve the college students’ networkinformation consumption education management mechanism, enrich andstrengthen the construction of campus culture, strengthen the college students’ Network Ideological and Political Education efforts, enhance the effectiveness of Ideological and political education, improve college students’ Ideological and political quality, additional information consumer related courses, to improve students’ theoretical accomplishment and discriminating ability, to strengthen ideological and political construction of teachers, to guide students to make network information consumption correctly.The education supervision role of parents must also be played and enhanced. More important is to enable students continue to enhance learning, im prove their own self-cultivation, to establish lofty ideals, actively participate in the beneficial campus cultural activities from own angle of the university student, by fully using the college students’ self education, self guided, self service ability, and consciously resist the negative effects of network information consumption.
