It is in urgent need of project management professionals with the rapid development of China’s construction industry in recent years. At present, the majority of projects are under construction, these large projects need the advanced special talents to understand management and technology and the construction industry mature regulations with higher education. And for the cultivation of the engineering management professional talents, the train positioning of the higher vocational college is commonly technology skilled talents, the positioning of the ordinary undergraduate course colleges is more complex talents. In this context, how to improve the level of the existing in higher vocational colleges and train more applied advanced technical talents adapting to the social development of engineering management major is particularly important.YCBM College complies with the time development, which was authorized to develop a practice-oriented university in May,2014, at the same year of September, the college recruited5application-oriented undergraduates including the major of construction management, as a practice-oriented university, it has to face the new challenges, it is the responsibility and mission for the professional teachers to enhance abilities, studying by the actual situation of YCBM College, finding out the deficiencies of the ability for the professional teachers and the measures to enhance the abilities.This article begins with the goal of talent development of YCBM College, exploring and analyzing the ways and means to enhance the capacities of professional teachers mainly from the several key aspects, such as the teaching ability, research capacity and the capability of engineering practice and guide by combining with the present situation of the construction management teachers, last but all, pointing out the new situation of personnel training is both an opportunity and a challenge.To solve this problem, the author interviewed undergraduates, graduate, professional teachers and employment firms Through the ways of questionnaires and business research. Analyzing the ability development situation and existing problems of professional teachers for Construction Management and learning from the successful experience of cultivating applied-talents in Colleges and universities at home and abroad. Finally, proposing the conception of engineering of enhancing abilities for the project management teachers based on the results from analyzing.
