In the 21st century, China's higher vocational education develops rapidly, following with the leaping development of Chinese higher education. However, there is a series of problems of professional construction and management, for example, the foundation of our vocational education is so weak, curriculum is not so reasonable, the orientation of professional training objectives is not so accurate, practice teaching is not paid much attention, and teachers are not so adequate. All of these problems have had the great influences on our higher vocational schools'enrollment, students'employment, and even on higher vocational schools'survival and development. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, it is essential to carry out professional construction and management, which is just the core content of China's current vocational education. Under this background, the subject is put forward. The author believes, if we want to cultivate highly skilled professionals that the society needs, higher vocational schools must intensify professional construction and management. Furthermore, these schools can get sustained, stable and healthy development. At first, for the studies of higher vocational schools'professional construction and management, this thesis analyses and summarizes its background, significance and research status at home and abroad. Then, this thesis gives more in-depth study of this research. Main contents are as followed:1. Discussing the theories of professional construction. This thesis specifically discusses many aspects of professional construction, such as, its connotations, characteristics, principles, influential factors and ideas. First, it talks about professional connotations, clarifies the relationship between professions and disciplines as well as the relationship between professions and vocations, and narrates professional classifications and developments. Then, this thesis redefines the basic connotations of professional construction, seriously analyses its internal and external influential factors, and reestablishes the principles of professional construction. In this thesis, the author specifically studies the methods and characteristics of professions, and the guiding ideology, construction standards as well as basic channels of brand professions.2. Discussing the theories of professional management. In the process of professional construction, management is essential. Based on the studies of theories of professional construction, this thesis summarizes the definition, models and contents of professional management. Among these, it mainly introduces three models of professional management, that is, objective management, process management and all-round quality management. Specifically speaking, it analyses professional management from nine aspects, which paves the way for higher vocational schools'professional management. Here, the nine aspects includes training objectives, professional planning, curriculum, teaching process, teaching materials, textbooks, teachers, training base, as well as monitoring and evaluation of teaching quality.3. Summarizing the methods of her school's professional construction and management, and constructing its professional management model in combination with the actual situation of her school's professional management. Through the analysis of her city's economical condition and her school's professional status, the author establishes the objectives of her school's professional management and the principles of professional planning. Meanwhile, she preliminarily discusses the problems of the characteristics, construction of brand professions and the practice of"double certificates". Under this condition, the author puts forward many feasible ways to solve these problems from the practical point.In this paper, the innovation embodied in the Construction and professional management talent needs to explore channels of data sources. Inquiry professional construction and management of institutional construction, the demand for talented people concept of the state of the process. In theories, the author does her best to richen the knowledge of professional construction and management of higher vocational education. In practice, the author strives for guiding the professional construction and management of her school, to a certain degree, and providing some feasible references for Chinese higher vocational education.
