A Case Study On The Application Of “Structure Preview” To Transform Poor Students Of High School Chemistry

The problems of poor student directly affect the school education teaching work. For the school education, there are more or less poor students in each subject, and chemistry is included. As a special group in the chemistry teaching, poor students are always attracting attention and concerns of the chemistry teachers. How to help students solve these problems, and to improve the learning effect are the problems which is worth exploring and researching by the front-line teachers, and that is also an urgent task to be solved.The major research methods of this study are survey research and case study. The research subjects are the students of grade 2 from X junior high school science class in Yingtan city. After investigating the situation of students’ previewing subjects and the methods before class, two poor students in chemistry are selected as the subjects of case study. And the application of structured preview strategy is used to instruct two students to preview subjects. During the process, the author will timely pay attention to the students’ dynamic, the quality of students’ previewing subject, the performance in class, and practice after class, and the author will give guidance in time.After two months’ training, a variety of abilities of students are promoted. Students have realized the importance of preparation lessons before class, and they take the initiative to preparing classes consciously. In addition, their ability of preparation is also improved. What’s more, they can ask questions actively, and their performance in classroom and chemical performance have got more and more improvements.
