This thesis through to the Chinese and western art and design education in the process of our development is analyzed, from the development background, development present situation, in countries around the world for the future of Chinese art design education thinking and children art design education from four aspects to obtain, comparison and analysis of the differences between Chinese and western art design education, and research the causes of these differences. Of art and design in modern China not formed a complete system of education, in the development of modernism, post-modernism design at the same time, the designer should not be forgotten contains China’s most regional features and ethnic characteristics of traditional arts and crafts design factors, our country should be established on the basis of the traditional Chinese culture and the integration of modern science and technology of art and design education system, and also for the development of more environmentally friendly materials and production technology provide a new thinking. Art design education in China to perfect the author puts forward some Suggestions and improvement, in order to artistic design education in our country from teaching children to university teaching during the development trend of internationalization.
