The Role And Methods Of Ideological And Political Education In College Crisis Management

Since 1999, colleges and universities of our country begin to expand enrollment, the enrollment increased by 513200 people, growth rate reached 47.4 percents, and there was no parallel in history. The next year, there is an increase of 38.16%. By 2003, there are more than 10 million students in Chinese Colleges. With the rapid expansion of the scale of colleges and Universities, Student population increasingly diversified development trend. College of software and hardware facilities lag contradictions has become increasingly prominent, which has put forward higher requirements on the management of students in Colleges and Universities. In particular, with the diversification and diversity of the student population, the number of students who has psychological problems and diseases is also increasing; various crisis events also have occurred frequently, even seriously affect the stability and development of colleges and Universities. Thus, college crisis management emerged.However, the current emergency management system and mechanism in colleges and universities are over emphasis the control, but ignore guidance, and also not pay enough attention to the function of ideological and political education. As chairman Mao had ever said, Ideological and Political Work are the lifeline of economic and other works. For crisis management in college, it’s also an important lifeline. Ideological and Political Work makes special use of the function of Forecasting and early warning, crisis education, information communication, ideological communication, moral appeal, organization and mobilization, psychological counseling and humanistic care. It helps people build up self-esteem and confidence, rational and peaceful mind, and positive social mind in the current emergency management as a kind of soft power, forming into the invisible power against crisis. Ideological and Political Work are the heirloom and capability of Chinese Communist, it can only be strengthen not weaken in any occasion. So does crisis management in college.The purpose of this article is to use the scientific theory of Ideological and political education of the Marx doctrine, combining with the actual current college crisis management in our country, adhering to the standpoint and the viewpoint of the dialectical materialism and historical materialism, using the multi-level research methods, to analyze the current situation and existing problems of ideological and political education in colleges crisis management of our country, to explore the role and methods of ideological and political education in college crisis management. The dissertation can be divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly expounds the background, significance, research ideas and methods of the research problem, and on this basis, combing the relevant research involves some basic concepts and theories. The second part mainly discusses the position and function of Ideological and political education in college crisis management, clarifying the ideological and political education is the "lifeline" in college crisis management, at the same time. Aiming at the management of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis, it separately investigates the different functions of ideological and political education in the three periods. The third part analyses the present situation of ideological and political education in college crisis management, and points out the existing problems and reasons. The fourth part focuses on the role and methods of ideological and political education in college crisis management. This is the key part of this paper.
