In 2012,our country promulgated "middle school teachers’ professional standard(trial)",which affirms the middle school teachers’ professionalism in the form of policy,and pointed out the qualified middle school teachers shoud have professional quality.The standard pointed out the direction for teachers’ professional development, and provided the basis for teacher evaluation.So the standard attainment of middle school teachers is at what level? Is there any gap between teachers’ professional quality and requirements of “the professional standard”? Where is the gap?It’s important to find the weakness in teachers’ professional development and to improve teachers professional quality.In order to understand the standard attainment of middle school teachers, the study prepared the questionnaire of “standard attainment of middle school teachers”.Then selected 450 miaddle school teachers from a few middle school of henan province as sample. The content of investigation included two parts: middle school teachers’ basic situation and standard attainment. On the basis of the questionnaire conducted in-depth interviews by one-on-one.Based on the questionnaire analysis, found that the standard attainment of middle school teachers have following features:(1)Standard attainment of middle school teachers still has greater room for improvement;(2) The standard attainment of rural middle school teachers is lower than urban teachers;(3) The standard attainment of junior middle school teachers is lower than high school teachers;(4) Professional understanding and identity remains to be enhanced;(5)The attitude and behavior to students needs to be improved;(6)The structure of professional knowledge is not balanced;(7) The ability of class management needs to be improved;(8) Teachers’ culture is Mosaic, cooperation is superficial;(9) The mode of reflection is single and the effect of reflection remains to be improved;(10) Career planning is not clear.According to the analysis and summary of the interview data, found that the level of the middle school teachers’ standard attainment are mainly affected by factors such as teachers’ qualification, wages and learning opportunities, consciousness of self development. To promote the middle school teachers’ standard attainment, need to make efforts from the following aspects:(1) Construct multi-level teacher professional standards, improve the pertinence of middle school teachers’ professional development;(2)Perfect the system of teacher education, and promote the teachers’ professional development;(3)Establish scientific mechanism of teacher evaluation and incentive;(4)Strengthen cooperation and communication between teachers.
