The innovative talents with the latest knowledge and advanced technology is the decisive elements for social production in the knowledge economy era. The representative of the high-end development in science and technology is the "Intelligent robots", which also is the forefront of information technology. At present, the "intelligent robot" has emerged as a project to set up in most middle school information technology course. The secondary objective basis for robot is located on the understanding and experience [1]. But the current middle school education of robotic is at the preliminary exploration stage, most schools still regard competition as the ultimate purpose of robot teaching. These schools main teach the hardware or theory of robot, which is unable to realize the teaching goal of the middle school robotics.At present, the research of middle school robotics teaching model based on middle school course nature and combined with engineering robot teaching mode is less. Therefore, the study of this article is applying engineering CDIO teaching mode to the teaching of the middle school robotics based on the teaching characteristics and target of the middle school robotics and experienced teaching and builds the E-CDIO teaching mode which is applicable to the robotics teaching of middle school. In this paper, the research content includes: summarized the research status quo for the teaching mode of the middle schools robotics; Elaborated the theoretical basic for the E-CDIO teaching mode of the middle schools robotics; designed a teaching process of the E-CDIO teaching mode of the middle schools robotics; Provided the concrete design scheme of the key point of the middle schools robotics E-CDIO teaching mode; Finally, this article carries out the teaching activities design and practice according to the model and analyzed the teaching effect by the method of questionnaire investigation and interview. The practice results show that the robot teaching mode have effective to guidance and auxiliary function for middle school curriculum development. This model is helpful to guide first-line teachers to carry out the robot teaching in middle school.
