Research On Master’s Degree Thesis Of Sport Sociology From 2003 To 2013 Of China

With the development and improvement of social economy and the living standards of civics, a growing number of people start participating in sports activities. Those participating and organizing brought new development opportunities for the development of sports, and at the same time it also brought new challenge, which makes sports social phenomena and therefore more diversified and complicated. Recently, sports sociology in our country has a quite speedy development, the main task of which is to research on the relationship between sports and social phenomenons. The future development of sociology of sport relics mainly on the graduated student of colleges and universities in the major of sports sociology and the dissertation are important academic achievements of graduated student. It is easy both to obtain the hot spot of the directions of postgraduate researches during the nearly 10 years and to rethink and summarize the postgraduate education under the expansion of recruit of graduated students when picking the Chinese master graduate student degree thesis as the research object.This article mainly adopts literature method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and expert interview method. Through analyzing 409 dissertations from graduate student of sports sociology majors during 2003-2013, transversely and longitudinally comparing each stage of the specific situation, development direction and general characteristics of dissertation as well as the existing problems and influencing factors during the past 11 years, the following items has been concluded:1.During the year 2003-2013, the number of dissertation from sports sociology direction graduate students each year going up and down, and this number are decreased during the year 2011-2013. At the same time, when dividing dissertation of sports sociology research direction graduate student from 2003-2013 into three stages, it is found that the number of the research content of each stage is slightly different.2.In the degree thesis of sports sociology researching students 2003-2013, most of the researches are on social sports, the second of which are school sports, competitive sports, sports industry and culture of sports. Seldom of studies are on sports groups and organizations, sports management, sports science and technology, international organizations and foreign affairs, sports with the mass media, and sports education.3.The methods that has been chosen of research thesis is mainly literature and investigation.4 to 5 kinds of research methods were used on 65.5% of the dissertation.4.The topics are various in different regions. The studies based on each province and city has a larger quantity than based on the whole country or other countries. And research based on urban is far more than rural areas.5.The study of sports sociology has been mixed with many other different subjects. It is also a trend to borrow theoretical model other disciplines to enrich the development of sports discipline.6.The development regularity of sports sociology research in recent decade is acting on following aspects:the direction of researching is tend more to applying instead of theoretical researches; the research content has been enriched and the trend of diversification becoming obvious; researching methods of articles becoming more reasonable and comprehensive on the usage; research on the problem analyzing becoming more comprehensive, innovative and timing; and the interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary becoming popular.7.The overall characteristics of research thesis on sports sociology are:contemporaneity, nationality and procrastinate.8.The main problems existing in academic articles:on thesis choosing, the theme are more broad or tempt to novelty; on content, repellent research on issues of lower level and not enough attention on sports population., less focus are on other countries; and on researching method, the survey are being overused.9.Factors affecting the quality and quantity of degree thesis are:subjectively the own interests graduate students and existing social resources; and objectively, the social background including the national enrollment plan, the training objectives of colleges and universities, tutors and employment situation, etc.
