In 2001, the Ministry of Education in China under the leadership of the CPC central committee and the State Council launched a new round of curriculum reform of basic education and presented a series of policy documents such as "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline (Trail)". A basic education curriculum system was initially formed, with Chinese characteristics and the theme of the times. The top-down education reform reflected the China’s outstanding education concept and achievement. Music education, as one of the most important aesthetic educations, obtained the unprecedented attention due to the development of new curriculum reform in primary and secondary schools.Teaching material is a constantly changing and expanding concept, which has time characters. In order to adapt to the requirements of the full implementation of quality education in the new period, deep en the reform of basic education courses, and improve the quality of education, Ministry of Education pro mulgated "Music Course Standard of Compulsory Education" in 2011,defined the nature, value and aim of music course, and standardized the teaching area and content. There are ten publishers taking the responsibility to make the value, aim and content of music course more specific and standard, and they published the music course experimental materials as the result of the concept of music materialization.Music course is a compulsory course for the fundamental education, also is a humanistic study. In the "Music Course Standard of Compulsory Education", the teaching target is divided into four areas:feelings and appreciation, performance, creation and music and related culture. Although the teaching target consists of four parts, these four areas are interpenetrating as a whole. Currently, the music course standard materials published by the ten approved publishers contain a variety of music activities. These music activities provide a space for students to study independently and cooperatively, also to explore the interests.This essay consists of introduction, text and epilogue, and text is divided into four chapters. The introduction explains the background, summarizes the current situation of music materials and music course activities in both China and abroad, then explains and compares the relevant concepts. The first chapter researches the significance of music course activities under the background of curriculum reform. In the first half of the first chapter, the author states the importance of music class activities under the background of new curriculum reform. Besides, the author summarizes the current situation of music course standard materials since new curriculum reform began by comparing new music course standard with the old one. The second part discusses the function and importance of music activities.The second chapter researches the "Activity" contents in Hebei edition of music course material, and analyzes the activities in the material based on the advanced abroad teaching method. The third chapter states some suggestions to the class activities in Hebei edition of music course material in aspects of implementing principle, difficult points of implementation and solutions. The forth chapter designs and researches the individual case of music class activities in Hebei edition of music course materials. In the last part of the forth chapter, the author summarizes and rethinks the research of the music activity, and hopes the research and analysis in this essay can promote the development of classroom music education.
