A Case Study On Professional Social Work Intervene In The Social Protection Of The Troubled Children

Children is the hope of the family and the future of the nation, also plays an important part of the national economic and social development and civilization progress. Therefore, trying our best to create security environment for children, and protect the basic rights and interests of children is the consensus of the society and academic circles. However, recently, the society successively happens a series of accidents and injuries of children. It also makes us realized that there are more and more children need help desperately.In recent years, the professional social workers have already involved in some kinds of social vulnerable groups, and they supply professional social work services, these services turns out a very valuable influences. Based on this, the government departments in order to serve the better service for children, especially the troubled children, so they try to buy professional social work services of social work institutions for children, exploring scheme and and also trying to lly the troubled children, forming mode. In this paper, I choose this project as my case study:a social protection program of the troubled children in T street, Fengtai, Beijing, which is implemented by the social work professional agency, called ZhongDing in Fengtai, Beijing (this study called Z). This program’s name is "Troubled Children · Social Work Action——the social work involved in the Social Protection of the Troubled Children in Fengtai", discuss and describe the practice and experience of the professional social work involved in the social protection program of the troubled children.This research adopts qualitative research method of descriptive case study method, attempts to find the detection and reporting system and practice process of the professional social work involve in the protection of the troubled children, and summarizes the possible risks, difficulties and restrictive conditions. Through in-depth interview with the social workers and service object, finding the details of the process and effect of project implementation, and analysis the following conclusions:first, professional social work intervention in troubled children social protection has significant effect; Second, professional social work intervention in troubled children social protection system still has many problems to be solved; Third, the professional social work intervention in troubled children social protection is the trend of the protection of minors. And put forward the corresponding Suggestions:first, to establish standardized screening, report the plight of the children and family guardian supervision mechanism; Second, a clear division of functions of the power, the establishment of children’s society protect the network; Third, establish the social work intervention in dilemma of children’s social protection professional status, and social work agency should play the role of third-party assessment.
