Extensive reading:In Chinese reading teaching process, the textbook is the central point. The materials related to the textbook are selected to read. Through the methods of contact and contrast, the analysis to the text is further improved. The sele-understanding is formed through reading. The self-awareness realization is reconstructed. In middle school’s extensive reading teaching, based on the text, teachers expand the content, or by the teacher’s guidance, students do the extensive reading out of class. Making Chinese education benefits from extensive reading is always No.4 Middle School’s target.The survey targets of this thesis include 18 Chinese teachers,3 classes in Grade 7,3 classes in Grade 8, altogether 385 students in Yanji No.4 Middle School. Methods of questionnaire survey, interview survey, observation survey are applied. The Chinese teacher’s extensive reading teaching situation and student’s prasping situation are known:Chinese extensive reading teaching I,plementation situation is grasped. The survey data is analyzed, thus Chinese extensive reading’s questions are found, strategies are proposed.To begin with the extensive reading’s current teaching situation in No.4 Middle School, the overall situation was proved to be scientific. The Chinese course’s extensive reading shows varieties of features:Extensive method’s flexibility; The feedback of the resule is without delay; The combination between extensive reading and other reading contents; Student’s reading comprehension skill is improved. Based on student’s grasping standard, the extensive content is selected accordingly. The profound content is mainly focused. The expansion aspect is also focused,Extensive reading involves the content that related to the text in other subjects, these features have better improved extensive reading teaching. However, there exist problems: Explaining took the place of text reading, teachings need effective guidance, student’s poor interest and reading quantity.In order to implement the Chinese extensive reading in Yanji No.4 Middle School, the solving strategy is proposed from the following aspects:School—Extensive reading course set up, network extensive reading promoted, professional training proceeded regularly, reading corner and reading room established; Teacher—Text based, extension targeted and selected, materials collected, ways of reading guided, reading achievement communication activity organized; Student—Sufficient reading time, good readinig habit, self-reading, individuation and creativity reading; Parents—Reading should be highly valued, collections of books should be increased. Extensive activity should be carried out both in and out of school. Thus students and their parents should pay highly attention to reading, to creat benign reading atmosphere.
