China has been an united multi-ethnic country from of old.The great colorful Chinese culture is made up of various cultures of different nationalities.According to the present development of bilingual education,though we have made some achievement both theoretical and practically,we must admit that our bilingual education is significantly behind that of other countries.Thus it is necessary and urgent to know more about the characteristics of the bilingual study of students of ethnic minorities and find suitable teaching methods to teach them Chinese reading.According to the Chinese teaching curriculum,students of ethnic minorities should master various basic abilities on expression and comprehension.Chinese teaching educators are playing an important'part in cultivating qualified talents for the need of social progress.Reading is used as an important tool for students of Korean nationality to improve their ability of using Chinese,and it' s playing an irreplaceable role in their growth.Yanji No.2 Middle School,which was founded in September,1946.It has around 1200 students and 12 Chinese language teachers.Generally speaking,the Chinese teaching of this school is well developed.All the Chinese teachers have participated in research projects organized by the government of the country,and For the first time they put forward the concept of their own special learning methord in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.They have provided precious experience for the extension research of Chinese teaching for Korean students.The students and Chinese teachers in Yanji No.2 Middle School have been investigated,Using the research methods such as questionnaire survey,at the same time,This essay is written to sum up the strengths and weakness of the Chinese teaching of this school,From the ethnic characteristics of bilingual teaching,students' reading interest and other aspects.Finally put forward some teaching strategies.This essay is divided into 4 parts.The first chapter is about the purpose and meaning of the research.The second chapter is about the necessity and significance of Chinese reading teaching.Chapter Three is an investigation about the Chinese reading teaching,mainly from reading guide and student's cognitive ability two aspects and also analyze problems and draw a conclusion.Chinese teaching in Yanji No.2 Middle School is far from perfection.Students are still weak in aesthetic while reading,and teachers are not paying enough attention to extracurricular Chinese reading.So in chapter four some suggestions which contain teachers,students and students' parents are put forward.
