The employment of graduates in local higher school is an important social issue,and also the focus of academic. The internet job-search is an important way for the graduates employment, so concerning the internet job-search status of graduates in local university is meaningful. On the basis of the literature review and interviews,this paper put forward 15 factors that affect the effectiveness of graduates in local university look for jobs and 4 hypothesis through internet from the aspects of demographic variables, graduates job-seekers, enterprises and recruiting website.Conclusions are reached by statistical analysis of 372 valid questionnaires as follows:1. There is no significant difference in the effectiveness of the internet job-search to different gender. Postgraduates have no significant differences with undergraduates in the effectiveness of the internet job-search, but junior college graduates have significant differences with postgraduates and undergraduates. There is no significant difference in the effectiveness of the internet job-search to graduates with or without internship experience. Science graduates have no significant differences with engineering graduates and liberal-arts graduates in the effectiveness of the internet job-search, but engineering graduates have significant differences with liberal-arts graduates.2. Resume writing, job search frequency, job search breadth and job interview preparation and written tests/interview preparation have significant positive correlation with the effectiveness of the internet job-search.3. Job analysis, recruiters’ competency, selecting the recruitment website and making recruitment advertising have significant positive correlation with the effectiveness of the internet job-search.4. The level of detail of recruitment information, and the quality of service of recruitment website have significant positive correlation with the effectiveness of the internet job-search.Based on all mentioned, this paper proposes related recommendations to provide some useful reference for graduates to look for jobs through internet.
