With the implementation of university enrollment expansion policy,the number of university graduates keeps increasing,which leads to the employment difficulties of university students and poor employment quality.Improving the job search effect and employment satisfaction of university students not only has an important impact on their own career development,but also has an important significance for the stable and sound development of our society and economy.The current literature mainly studies the job search results of university students from the macro level.But how to effectively conduct the job search and get satisfactory job search outcome form the perspective of individuals?Based on the fact that job search is a dynamic self-regulation process,the study examined the effect of perceived job search progress on job search strategies from the perspective of self-regulation.At the same time,it further explores the mechanism in which perceived job search progress influence job search outcomes,that is,the mediating effect of job search strategies on perceived job search progress and job search outcomes.The study constructed the perception of job progress-job search strategy-the results of research model,based on 108 university graduates to apply for a job for repeated measurement,the results found that:(1)Perceived job search progress(PJSP)was negatively related with exploratory job search strategy(EJSS)and haphazard job search strategy,and positively related with focused job search strategy(FJSS);(2)EJSS was positively related with the number of offers and negatively related with the satisfaction of offers;(3)FJSS was positively related with the satisfaction of offers;(4)PJSP through EJSS effects the number of offers;(5)PJSP through EJSS and FJSS effect the satisfaction of offers.Based on the research results,the study gives suggestion to improve the efficiency and quality of job search for university students,and these findings were discussed in terms of their implications and future research prospects.
