Research On The Strategies Of The Transformation From The Independent College To The Undergraduate Vocational Education Institution

Independent college is a new educational institution produced and developed under the condition that our country’s higher education system changed its size from elite to mass in the late nineties. As a new kind of school-running pattern, it not only absorbs the excellent education resource from its maternal university, but also absorbs folk investment capital, to make up for the shortcomings of insufficient funds because of its expansion. So it appears to promote the vigorous development of higher education enterprise and contributes a lot in our country. But with the fast development of independent college for more than 10 years, a lot of problems began to leak out, one of them is that its talent training pattern is not suitable for itself; which also has seriously affected its own healthy development. In 2008 the ministry of education issued a file called "management method" for independent college, which demands all of the independent colleges to run independently. In other words, independent colleges should fall apart from their maternal university in all aspect. In this case, the independent colleges should also need to reexamine themselves, to think about how to position in order to seek new ways of sustainable development. At the same time, the ministry of education put forward new directions towards China’s higher education development in 2014,in which he appeals to innovation and development of higher vocational education, explore the undergraduate level development of vocational education, and encourage a group of ordinary colleges to converse into undergraduate vocational education.Therefore, lying in the undergraduate level, to study the transformation of the independent college to vocational education has a significant meaning, which can create a new direction for the sustainable development of independent colleges. This paper selects training mode for vision, studies the necessity and feasibility of transforming independent college to undergraduate professional education, and explore the strategies and measure of transformation. At first, the paper researches the background and significance of independent colleges, analyzes some related status at home and abroad, and intrudes its research ideas and methods in detail; secondly, the theoretical development of independent colleges are summarized; thirdly, the paper investigates the status quo of our country vocational education, illustrates the reason why we should upgrade the vocational education to the undergraduate level; Finally, the paper defines the modes of undergraduate vocational education’s talent training pattern, based on which it discusses the strageies on transformation in education and teaching aspect; and the conclusion part is the summary of this study.
