| In the process of the development of higher education, the quality and quantity’s increase is a eternal contradiction, both of them often alternate the main aspect of contradiction. It’s difficult to give attention to both things at the same time. Since from the large enrollment of Chinese University in our country of late 1990 to 2002, the gross enrolment rate of school-age youth exceeded 15%, Indicates that China’s higher education entered into the popularization stage of development. The quantity and quality’s increase of higher education are not just as our wishes.Independent College is the newborn thing under the background of rapid development of higher education and its insufficient investment of China. Since its birth, it adopts the new system and the new mechanism for school. Conformed to the needs of the rapid development of higher education, made great contribution to realize the popularization of higher education in our country. Whether Independent colleges can have a place in the higher education and maintain a sustainable development, the key lies in whether they are able to transform to the types of modern vocational education system as soon as possible.,keep in accordance with the requirements of the educational department, cultivate talents welcomed by the market.The first part of this paper using the literature research method, comprehensive analysis the research situation of Independent College. The results of most research are mainly in the mode of running a school、Management patter、Talent training target、 Graduate employment、Independent College status etc. The research on the transformation of the Independent College is less, however the research on the transformation and development system of Independent Colleges is much less. In a similar study of abroad, we found that the characteristics of German University of Applied Science, especially the "Dual system", in compliance with the guidance of the Ministry of education in China, the guidance is about transformation and development of local colleges and Universities.The second part and the third part use case analysis method. On the basis of analyzing the developing trend of Higher Vocational Education in the world, i make a case study between the Independent College in China and German University of Applied Science, we can find that the main problems of Independent College are inaccurate orientation, vague talent training goal, over reliance on Parent Colleges, unscientific major and curriculum, singleness teaching form, unreasonable structure of teaching staff, difficult employment of graduates etc. The characteristics of manifested in German University of Applied Science are strict enrollment conditions, accurate talent training goal, Reasonable major, Scientific curriculum, thinking highly of practical teaching, huge teaching staff, National policy support etc.The fourth part uses the method of comparison research, on the basis of case analysis, respectively from orientation, talent training goal, major, curriculum, education way, teacher staff, national policy and regulations, the degree of enterprise participation. There are eight aspects comparison. In the fifth part, i got the countermeasure and suggestion for our Independent College based on the Comparative study, Which identify the orientation, transform independent college to higher vocational education system, positioning for Applied Technology University; Optimization of majors and curriculums, adapt to social and economic development; Strengthen the construction of "double teacher" team, improve school running level; Change the teaching way, pay attention to practice and discuss the teaching; National policy and regulations support, encourage more social forces and business into the transformation and development of the Independent College; Strengthen the school enterprise cooperation, to cultivate more applied technology talents which meet the needs of society. |
