The development of The Teachers’ Major is the key point of executing the new courses.This thesis concluded the experiences of domestic and abroad and analyzed the problems of the development of The Teachers’ Major under the environment of New Course Reform.By using the questionnaire,the writer researched the condition of the development of The Teachers’ Major under the environment of New Course Reform at DONGCHENG Elementary School of YUEYANG Economical Zone in order to explore the New Course Reform strategies for the elementary schools in the areas on the boarder of the city and rural area according to the conditions of DONGCHENG elementary school.The thesis has five parts. The first part is the Introduction, focusing on introducing the background, goals of this research; Part 2 introduced the related concepts and theoretical basis,discussed the concepts of New Course Reform and The Development of Teachers’ Major in details and tried to find out the relationship between them.Part 3 is to use questionnaire to do research to find out the levels of the professional skills of the teachers in DONGCHENG Elementary School of YUEYANG Economical Zone to explore the situation of the development of The Teachers’ Major in DONGCHENG Elementary School under the environment of New Course Reform. Part 4 is to conclude the experiences of Britain,USA and Australia. Part 5 is to discuss the strategies of the teachers’ professional skills under the New Course Reform.The result shows that there are more space to improve the professional skills of the teachers in DONGCHENG Elementary School of YUEYANG Economical Zone. The reasons to affect the development of the professional skills of the teachers include:the understanding of the teachers of the concept of New Course Reform;how much does a teacher loves his major;related policies of the school;training modes, etc.Conclusion:The support of the country and government is the motor for the development of the teachers’ professional skills.The help of the educational administrating bureau is the safeguard of the development of the teachers’ professional skills.Self-examination is like the ladder for the development of the teachers’ professional skills.Co-operation is the important way to improve the development of the teachers’ professional skills.The improvement of the teachers’ professional skills is the key point for the development of the teachers’ professional skills.
