Music education is an important part of the nine year compulsory education and the new curriculum reform to train all kinds of talents for the society. The current school education of quality education is gradually changing, the new music course curriculum reform is also in constant change. However, because of the economy level, social constraints and historical factors, the rural education is still faced with many problems. Such as the music education, the overall pace of its development status is completely unable to cpmpare with compulsory education’s development. Analysis from the angle of history, the foundation of rural development in general is poor, weak economic foundation, rural basic education itself did not receive attention. Music education, as an important mission of quality education reform, is facing the dilemma that music education in remote rural areas is problematic. In view of this, the author takes the rural senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province music education as the research object, based on the questionnaire survey, carries on the understanding to the development of music education status of rural middle school, in hope to find the reasons behind, provide relevant reference advice for the future development of rural music education in senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province.The author takes the music education in the rural senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province as an example, starting from the investigation and research, mainly through the present situation comparison between urban and rural students in music education, the structure of teachers, music teaching conditions and social music environment, explore the current situation of rural senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province, to find the main factors which restricts the development of music education in rural senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province. And then the author puts forward the effective countermeasures for promoting the development of music education in the rural senior middle school of Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province.
