With the advancement of new curriculum reform in China, the educators’ education idea and education thought has undergone great changes. As a junior high school, Lanzhou 20 th Middle School in Gansu province is subject to geographical restrictions for a long time, students resources are poor and education teaching quality is low. In order to improve school conditions, and students’ academic performance, Lanzhou 20 th Middle School has created Group Case Teaching mode with school individual characteristics, basing on the successful development experiences of Du Langkou Middle School and Donglu Middle School, integrating its own characteristics, combining the teaching mode of Learn Learning Guide and the teaching concept of cooperative learning group. Accordingly, this study does deep investigation and research about Lanzhou 20 th Middle School and understand the specific circumstances of this school’s Chinese curriculum reform through class observation and interviews.Under the guidance of the compulsory education Chinese curriculum standards(2011 edition) and Jin Jian’s Chinese language teaching theory, this study finds that the Group Case Teaching mode has characteristics of autonomy, cooperation, exploration and efficient and this teaching mode is highly unified with the subjectivity, spoken language, thinking and informative features of Chinese curriculum. And this teaching mode cultivates students’ language competence, develops students’ wisdom structure and helps students to build a beautiful life. However, Lanzhou 20 th Middle school applies this teaching mode only three years, in the practical research of this study found five main questions, including the teaching goal is not reasonable, class teaching are inefficient, teachers’ personal characteristics are overlooked for the united lesson plan, student evaluation and teacher evaluation are not mature, and teaching progress is difficult to control. In order to promote the development of this teaching mode of Chinese subject, on the basis of familiar with the whole teaching process,this study directs the existing problems and puts forward five corresponding improvement strategy, including---make the teaching goal setting rational, promote the class efficient, increase teachers’ flexible on the basis of unified teaching case, refine the standards of students evaluation and teacher evaluation, coordinating with overall situation, organize teaching progress reasonably.The wheel of the curriculum reform has never stopped, and the language education career also need to constantly absorbs the essence of their progress. The curriculum reform of Lanzhou 20 th High School has its own special reason, whether Group CaseTeaching Mode can be widely used in Chinese language teaching, still need considering various factors. In short, the development of Chinese language education has a long way to go, and the subversion of teaching mode needs serious consideration.
