| One of the important ideas of curriculum reform of basic education is to enable students to learn the geography which is useful to life. It makes new concepts and new knowledge on the basis of the real life of students by paying attention to the links between the course contents and living practical experiences. Local geography is an important part of regional geography as well as the basis for students to understand the regional geography. Regional geography learning should start from local geography, which can be acknowledged by familiarizing with small regional areas after large ones, and from near to far. Local geography contents are mainly chosen from local regions or local counties, which is close to the surrounding environment of students’ life and also easier for students to master. In the process of development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources, we can put the practical ideas and the promoting concepts of students’ all-round development in the new geography curriculum standard into practice so as to make the development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources become one of the new ways to implement the new geography curriculum standard. Therefore, in this paper, the development of local geography curriculum resources and the application in teaching ensure the realization of a three-dimensional target of new geography curriculum, promoting students’ comprehensive development.First of all, this paper starts from the study of local geography at home and abroad, expounds development significance in the local geography curriculum resources and discusses the theoretical support of local geography curriculum resources development. Secondly, under the guidance of the theory, it combines with the geography curriculum standard, by combining the geographical situation of local, natural and human resources, and the actual research on the development of the society, specifically from three aspects: The first one is that it develops and utilizes these resources through the collection and collation of text materials, classroom exploration and penetration, geographical practical activities, and self inquiry learning. The second one is that the effective integration of the local geography resources and curriculum resources, which will be an important carrier of local geography curriculum resources for students to integrate theory with practice so that students can apply corresponding knowledge to practice, understanding the essence of the geographical environment and the geographical phenomenon. The third one is that the teaching case design of corresponding local geography highlights the regional characteristics and the implementation of the new curriculum ideas in the geography teaching, providing teaching materials for the development of the local geography curriculum. Finally, with the analysis and summary of Jingyuan local geography curriculum resources, it does intense research on how to develop the local geography curriculum resources of junior high school in practical teaching, summarizes the attention and principles in the local geography curriculum resources development, and strives to make the development and practice of local geography curriculum resources in geography teaching have the certain instruction and reference significance in the future. |
