The new curriculum reform advocates highlighting the student’s main body status. In teaching style, teachers should change the one-way teaching type of teaching mode. Geography experimental teaching is a good interactive teaching ways. Geography experimental teaching is a kind of practice of case teaching, the students exercise experience through practice the experiment teaching cases to find problems, the ability to analyze and solve problems, improve their comprehensive quality, the teaching way is more targeted and strong applicability. Geography experimental teaching outstanding students actively participate in teaching, not only active classroom atmosphere, students really active learning knowledge, but also for cultivating students’ practice ability and innovation spirit has very important significance.When choosing experimental teaching resources, the local geography as students side the most familiar with the convenience of resources has a strong advantage. In the experimental teaching, local teaching resources can change the present poor relation between experiment teaching resources and practical life. Experimental teaching in combination with local geographical better stimulate students’ interest in learning, students are making full use of knowledge, theory with practice, the better students emotion, values.This study is based on the local geography, under the background of new curriculum reform, the study of natural geography practice teaching for high school. By using the method of literature research, questionnaire, case analysis for the experimental teaching in combination with powerful advantage of the local geography states very well. This research mainly has the following several parts:The first part:in this paper, natural geography practice teaching based on the local geographical put forward the research background, research purpose, research status and the realistic significance of the geographical practice teaching. Emphasized the importance of geography teaching practice, analyze the local geography for the significance of practice teaching.The second part:the high school geographical teaching theory based on the local geography, analysis of defining the related concepts. Through analyzing support theory, state the necessity of the local geography practice teaching. By defining the concept of experimental teaching, it is theoretical realized local geography teaching, local geography experimental teaching.The third part:analysis is high school present situation of the development of the natural geography practice teaching based on local geography. A school as an example, through questionnaire survey, understand the student what are the potential resources available, has been used in the school teaching resources, it is concluded that the current teachers and students in the experimental teaching of current situation and appropriate suggestions are put forward.The fourth part:the high school natural geography practice teaching case based on the local geography. After combined with the practical teaching books of high school geography teaching to explore the whole research, then for certain knowledge to explore the teaching design. This part of the geographical practice teaching provides a classic case.The fifth part:through a combination of current status of practice teaching, practice teaching is put forward to realize the effectiveness of the feasible Suggestions and explore effective geography experimental teaching should meet the basic requirements, such as:simple operation, obvious pertinence, typicality, intuitive, and inspiring.The sixth part:the basic conclusion of this paper is summarized, and the study of problems and deficiencies and problems which need to be further in-depth study.In conclusion, this study found that the school should pay more attention to the geography experimental teaching research, when choosing experimental teaching resources, the local geography has a strong advantage, target for students in all aspects has important significance. Through local resource to realize the experimental teaching, of course, the whole process can’t be out of the textbook knowledge, the ultimate goal is to realize the textbook knowledge in real life emersion, consolidate the understanding of the textbook knowledge. At the completion of the experimental teaching, the comprehensive experiment is more helpful than a single experiment, students get more in the comprehensive experiments, not only cultivate the students’practical ability, but also for the cultivation of students’ creative thinking, study thinking is can not be ignored. To realize the effectiveness of the experimental teaching, in addition to design a simple operation, intuitive typical experiments, also should notice to experiment, as the interaction between students, realize the value of the students in different levels, the experimental teaching task better. All of the research is to better teachers to carry out the experimental teaching, to students of all aspects of development.
