| Positive psychology is a psychological research which tends to springing up from the end of the 20 th century. Positive psychology is characterized with a positive attitude towards students. Therefore, it can stimulate students’ potential, enhance their lifelong learning ability, and improve their self-confidence and happiness in the learning process. At present the high school geography teaching practice has focused on the status of cognitive, emotional. Most of the geography teachers are not implementing emotional education. Even through some teachers implement to emotional education, they just regard this as a teaching method, which makes some students passive and tired of learning, and the lack of happiness is stronger and stronger, the frustration in their minds is stronger and stronger, too. How to improve high school students’ well-being becomes an important content of our high school education practice. The author believes that the concept of positive psychology in geography teaching cultivates students’ positive emotion, positive personality, and improve students’ performance, increased the feeling of their happiness at the same time. Through the questionnaire to understand the current situation of high school geography teaching and learning, the author depends on the concept of positive psychology to teach students for a semester project practice in high school geography teaching. The author sets up the experimental classes and the comparative classes, conscious penetration of positive psychology in the experimental class teaching, and goes on the regular teaching in comparative classes, finally the author carries on the comparison to the students’ academic record, with variance and Z test(difference). From the result of investigation and study, we can see that after the join of the concept of positive psychology in the high school geography classroom teaching, the students’ learning interest is improved, students’ learning initiative is cultivated, positive qualities of students is developed, and the students’ sense of happiness is improved. The test is divided into six parts. The first part put forward the problem for the introduction and the research significance and research status at home and abroad. The second part is the basic connotation and theoretical basis of positive psychology. The third part is mainly about the present situation of high school geography classroom teaching and learning practice. The fourth part talks about the practice of positive psychology in high school geography classroom teaching. The fifth part, the positive psychology gives the suggestions and thinking to the high school geography classroom teaching. The sixth part is about the summary and prospect. |
