Chinese classical poetry is a bright pearl laid in the laurels of literary and artistic, it presents the biggest achievement of our traditional culture,and it is also our inexhaustible treasure. Chinese classical poetry is lyrical,which has a unique advantage of implementing of emotional education. However,emotional education is absent in the real Chinese classical poetry teaching practice owning to the following factors:the exam-oriented education in Chinese teaching; the lack of teachers’ professional knowledge and skill;the lack of stress on emotional education.Therefore,this paper aims to make a study on Chinese classical poetry teaching in senior high school,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to help solve problems existing in the Chinese classical poetry teaching.The introduction of this paper mainly gives an overview of emotional education with a method of literature analysis.The second part is the theoretical basis of the study.The third part takes an analysis of the emotional education in the senior high school Chinese classical poetry teaching.The fourth part summarize the teaching strategies in Chinese classical poetry teaching in a way of case study and action research.The part aims to add more content of emotional education in Chinese classical poetry teaching as to give some suggestions and guide to the real Chinese classical poetry teaching.This paper mainly study on the Chinese classical poetry in PEP textbook, but isn’t limited in it;it also involves others Chinese classical poetry.By analyzing the emotional education in the classical poetry, the emotional education consists of three parts: seeking the truth—the excitation of rational emotion;praising kindness—the excitation of moral emotion;appreciating beauty—the excitation of aesthetic emotion.All these parts can also be divided into several small parts to discuss in details.Meanwhile,the researcher advocates that the implementation of teaching activities should use series of teaching strategies according with the rules of Chinese classical poetry teaching,such as creating the context,enjoying the connotation;Reading and thinking,tasting the emotion of poem;grasping the poem eye and poetic emotion;analyzing the image of poem;thinking the intertextuality;experiencing role-changing,understanding culture,further exploring the significance of poem;Linking poem to the real life,understanding the connotation;Practicemaking poems,expressing emotions etc.
