The influence of globalization maintains profound, which leads to extensive economic, political and cultural transition in each country. China, as a responsible large country with increasing comprehensive national strength, is playing an increasingly significant role globally. Nowadays China’s undergraduates are living in the rapid transition of the society with progressing economy and interacting diversified ideologies. Their thoughts and behaviors reflect developing changes and features. They are the builders and heirs of socialism causes, as well as the future of China, the hope of Chinese people. Their sense of responsibility is associated with individual growth and success. Moreover, it is linked with the completion of a moderately prosperous society and the great rejuvenation of China. The influence of globalization has been infused into many aspects in life, leading people to consider theories and practice of undergraduates’ responsibility education from a globalized view. Thus, it is a new task for ideological and political education in tertiary institutions in a new era to seize the chance offered by globalization for students’ responsibility education and to face challenges posed by that.This paper studies contemporary undergraduates’ responsibility education via literature research, logical analysis and comparative analysis. This paper is divided into 4 sections. Section 1 is the introduction, mainly demonstrating research purpose and its significance, domestic and overseas research situations concerning students’ responsibility education, the methodology and innovation of this paper. Section 2 mainly illustrates relevant theories and fundamentals of responsibility education combined with the author’s research results concerning the nature of globalization and concepts of responsibility and responsibility education. Section 3 mainly explores concrete manifestation of weakening awareness and causes of problems together with the necessity of enhancing undergraduates’ responsibility education. Section 4 puts forward implementation strategies of enhancing their responsibility education from 4 respects, i.e., the university, the family, the society and individuals combined with the time and experience from both China and other countries. The university is the leading place for responsibility education, while the family is the foundation. Besides, an improved social context offers guarantee for their responsibility education, and self-education of undergraduates acts as the consistent inner driving force of responsibility education. At present, responsibility education of undergraduates is a systematic project evolving all parties requiring joint effort from the society.
