Large expositions have been favored by governments and regions recently.and becoming a great opportunity to enhance the regional image and the influence.Biggest beneficiaries of expositions are community residents, there is a close relationship between Community well-being and expositions.Scholars and researchers attach great importance to the economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of mega-events.The paper, taking Qingdao, host city for the 2014International Horticultural Exposition as an example, discusses the impact on the community well-being of mega-event. Based on the dynamics of residents well-being and three times of sampling survey data, ranging from half year before hosting Olympic Sailing Regatta, hosting process to half year after the event.The random sampling is applied to the surrounding residents of Horticultural Expo as sampling units. The surveys were conducted by questionnaires in which questions were answered them.550 questionnaires in total were distributed, and 532 copies were collected. Among them 500valid questionnaires were received. Descriptive statistics, reliability and validity, KMO and some other approaches were used to make data analyses and discussions.The literature review generated a total of 29 socio-economic impact items, the items were classified into four domains. Social and environmental impacts; Material living standards improve; Construction of urban culture; social costs; Spiritual Civilization.The overall analysis,the surrounding residents of Horticultural Expo have a high expectations in Social and environmental impacts、Construction of urban culture, and they have a low expectations in Material living standards improve、 Spiritual Civilization、social costs;From Horticultural Expo to bring sustained effect: the surrounding residents of perceptions in Social and environmental impacts、 Construction of urban culture、Spiritual Civilization is Intuitively and obviously, and they have a low expectations in Material living standards improve、social costs; From expectations-satisfied theoretical analysis, Surrounding residents expect higher Horticultural Expo Garden in advance of the World Club benefits, when the final result is less than the expected value of the time, disappointed residents will be greater.
