With the rapid development of information technology in modern times,the reformation of which in the field of education has become increasingly important. Micro course emerges as the times’ requirement under this background. Geography course is of high logicality and abstract including rich content. It needs higher logical thinking capability to rise the geographical perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge. Using micro course to cultivate students’ Geography logical thinking ability is an innovative approach of teaching methods’ reformation in the new period,while the effect of the innovative approach is unknown which needs to be studied further.Evaluation methods are consist of questionnaire, test, peer evaluation and multiple ask log evaluation, wherein, the pre-test and post test use questionnaire survey and test. It can compare the students’ learning attitude, interest and cognitive habits through the result comparison of the pre-test and post test questionnaire.And the results show that the students have high interest in micro course,also their learning attitude has been improved to a certain degree. Test results can directly indicate the effect of using micro course to cultivate students’ logical thinking ability. The experimental class’s scores in post test is higher than the control class, also compared with the pretest its scores’ increase amplitude is higher than that of the control class. This suggests that the micro course for training students’ logical thinking ability and improving their ability of solving problems had definite effect in a certain extent. The cultivation of logical thinking ability is a long process,which focuses on the process of evaluation. The peer evaluation and multiple ask log evaluation should be an important evaluation form in practice. This paper mainly describes the use of these two kinds of evaluation methods in the teaching practice of micro course.The research results show that the micro course of teaching method has a certain effect on the cultivation of students’ logical thinking ability. Micro video learning is a relatively new learning way for students compared to the traditional paper-based learning materials. Micro video demonstrated the knowledge point vividly so as to improve the students’ interest in learning geography. Students’ Geography logical thinking ability can be improved properly in the teaching mode of micro course.so as the ability to discovery the problem, put forward the problem, find countermeasures and solve the problem.
