With the development of the new curriculum reform,the core quality of subjebt has become the way and method from exam-oriented education to quality education.Through this path,the goal of quality education will be achieved.One of the core qualities of geography is integrated thinking.Cultivating stucdents’ integrated thinking,especially students’ logical thinking ability,is the requirement of the new curriculum of geography in ordinary high schools.It is the conly way to cultivate students ’ability to analyze and solve geographical problems and learn the methods of learning geography knowledge.This article established the research direction and theme by consulting a large number of domestic and foreign documents and reading well-known magazines and excellent papers.By means of investigation,this paper investigates the students’logical thinking ability and map application in high schools,and finds out the students’ problems.Afterwards,by using the method of action research as the carrier of geographical images and taking the four sections of the compulsory contents of the People’ s Education Press as an example,the logical thinking ability of high school students was trained,and the resul ts of the training were tested through questionnaires and tests.Through the test of the teaching effect,the validity of using geographical images to cultivate students’ logical thinking ability is illustrated.Through this process,it is concluded that:1.The results of the questionnaire survey on pre-test and logical thinking ability showed that the understanding and application of logical thinking ability in the experimental class and the control class were consistent.The standard deviation of the control class was 8.555,and the standard deviation of the experimental class was 8.884.The difference within the class is similar.The two classes can make a comparative analysis.2.In the experimental class,use geographical images often used by students to cultivate students’ logical thinking ability.At the same time,learn geography knowledge and the method of logical thinking,so that students’ learning is more"methodological" to follow.Through a period of study,we find that,the students’ability of logical thinking has been improved to varying degrees.3.Through a period of study,we come to the following methods to cultivate students ’different logical thinking abilities:(1)Using geographical images to enumerate several situations of a geographical thing,sum up their commonalities and draw laws.Through this process,students ’ inductive logical thinking ability is cultivated.The conclusions are applied to the specific geographical problems in the geographical images to cultivate students ’deductive logical thinking ability.(2)Identify and analyze the geographical elements of geographical problems separately in geographical images,and finally draw conclusions;In the process of solving the geographical problem,we should consider the various geographical factors in this geographical problem,synthesize the overall conclusions of each element,and cultivate the students ’ analytical and comprehensive logical thinking ability in this process.(3)Comparing geographical things with geographical images,you can use horizontal,vertical,and contrast methods to understand similar geographical things,geographical things at different stages,and geographic things that are opposite or relative.(4)Perceiving the phenomenon of geographical things in geographical images,and then discovering its essential attributes,through this process to cultivate students ’ability to abstract logical thinking.This study has further expanded the application of geographical images in geography teaching,and put forward a new method and new theory of using geographical images to cultivate students’ logical thinking ability.This study uses geographical images to cultivate students’ logical thinking ability to study and implement,filling their own gaps in this area,and providing reference for geographical teachers.It not only improves the teachers’ teaching ability,but also improves the students’ learning ability and thinking level.
