As two main constituents of education, home education plays an as important part as school education in the growing of children. More and more attention has been paid to the cooperation between family and school. Owing to historical reasons, both school and home education in China have played their own leading and supporting roles for a long period. With the development of society, more and more education workers are realizing the importance of effective family -school cooperation. However, there still exist some problems with the practice of effective family-school cooperation.Based on the view of school education, under the guide of some relevant theories, with the aid of literature research methodology as well as empirical analysis methods etc, this paper discusses the status quo of the family-school cooperation in Fuzhou S Middle School. The research shows some problems with the family-school cooperation in S Middle School such as the misunderstandings of the cooperation, the unequal status of the two sides, the lack of diversities of forms of cooperation and so on. The writer holds the view that the improper beliefs of the parents, teachers and school administrators together with their improper methods make it difficult for the two educational forces to combine. Thus, in this paper, based on the Attribution analysis of the existing problems, using the successful experience in China and abroad, the writer tries to give some advice on how to improve the effectiveness of family-school cooperation in the hope of promoting the more effective cooperation between family and school.
