With Chinese rapid economic development, people’s material living standards have been greatly improved. But the physique monitoring results for many years shows that the physical quality of our children continued to decline. In order to reverse the situation gradually, in 2006 the Ministry of education, the State Sports General Administration, the Communist Youth League Central Committee issued a notice that they made a decision to carry out a wide range Sunshine Sports which hundreds of millions of students join in the college, middle and primary schools to solve these problems. At present, the schools are implementing the "an hour exercise every day" spirit thoroughly, and carry out activities with local characteristics of the recess and the school-based curriculum vigorously.As a Physical Education Teacher in primary school, taking the Physical Education of Jingwu Road Primary School—Wushu as the corresponding point, I selected the 100 boys in grade five as experimental subjects and I divided into experimental group and control group randomly, and carry out a period of one semester’s experiment. In this paper, taking literature method, survey method, interview method,experimental method and mathematical statistics method as the research method, it selects the test index of height, weight, vital capacity, 50 meter run, standing long jump, body anteflexion in sitting position, eyesclosed--single foot balance, 50 meters by 8 back and forth, one minute sit ups and jumping rope and grip, it made a compare and analysis of the test data of pre-experiment and after experiment between the same group and different group according to “The national student physical health standard”. The experimental results show that after a semester of Wushu Exercise, the experimental group has improved a lot at balance ability,lower limb strength, flexibility and coordination and have a significant difference compared with control group(P<0.05). It shows that Wushu routine exercise can be very good to improve students’ physical quality,especially for strength of lower limbs, body coordination, flexibility and balance ability.
