Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standards published in 2011 presented “read the hole book ”and requirements of the middle school students to read two or three famous books every school year(6-9 in three years).Thus it can be seen in the era of education innovation, with the development of basic education new curriculum and the development of Chinese subject, the important role of extracurricular book reading has gradually highlights.Nowadays, there exists a worrying situation in middle school students extracurricular reading is alienation of reading motivation and lack of reading strategies. It is difficult to implement the new course standard put forward “improve the students’ Chinese accomplishment and comprehensive” requirements. Have analysising we found that the reasons are as follows: the influence of the macro environment of education, teachers’ lack of guide for reading book, and the lack of methods and strategies of students’ reading.This paper referring to Adler book reading thought and based on the new curriculum rationale, made the overall thinking of junior middle school students extracurricular book reading. Integration of excellent extracurricular reading guide book case analysis, reflects upon junior middle school students extracurricular book reading of confusion, actively seeking effective strategy of book reading, help to improve students’ extracurricular book reading ability, in order to reach the requirement of improve students’ Chinese accomplishment and cultivate noble personality. This research includes the following parts:The first part is introduction. Describe some related background, purpose and significance of this paper simply.The second part is the theory summary and research enlightenment. Briefly describes the thought of Adler book reading thought and its revelation of book reading strategies in junior middle school students.The third part is to discuss the current situation. Alienation of reading motivation and lack of reading strategies. in the junior middle school students extracurricular reading,then attribution of the phenomenon from three aspects of the macroscopic environment, teacher’s book to guide and the students themselves.The fourth part is practical ways. Firstly put forward the guiding principles based on Adler book reading though to the junior middle school students extracurricular book reading: the principle of respect、 exploratory、cohesion and radiation; then seeks feasible implementation strategies to construct a teacher-led, student-centered and textbook-dependent model.
