Currently China is undergoing huge extensive changes, such as from the culture opened a new wave of social development. It’s Promoting all criticizes to read, the scholarly society has established for two consecutive years that was written into the government work report. In the field of education, new curriculum progress has been marked, the history as an important humanities has pointed as the major responsibility for education.Junior high school stage is an important period of the child’s independent personality and values gradually, it will be actively guide children to learn learning methods with a good foundation for lifelong learning. In reading, the children could learn to construct new knowledge, also existing knowledge linked with itself to form a unique individual values or emotional experience, then formed their own unique character. However, due to the junior high school children catches the basics is not solid, as well as have a reading effective methods, with additional academic burden of pressure, has led to some concern. For example, the historical authenticity cannot judge the reliable of truth, recreational reading, reading fragmentation, its lack of a scientific reading method.For the above phenomenon, the study of junior high school students in the sample survey sampling, sample size 450 and 12 interviewees. The survey is divided into six dimensions, the investment extracurricular reading history, reading and carrier route, motivational, reading methods, like reading the type and subject matter, as well as the knowledge from reading. Through the analysis of survey data, could found out that the problem of children in the history of extracurricular reading:favorite to it but focus is not enough; the vast majority of children to buy their own reading materials but will not make full use of library resources; choose extracurricular reading some of the children are motivated recreation; generally not mastered independent reading method; favorite type of entertainment and partial nature of the subject matter; Different age with catch with different level of knowledge.On the other hand, for junior high school students of different gender, grade and family background variance analysis. According to statistical results and the interview survey data, could found out that the gender of the students in the history of popular reading materials of the type having a significantly different reading methods and subject matter; the different grades of the students in the choice of extracurricular books of motivation emotional aspects of the harvest, as well as aspects of dyslexia hope there are significant differences; Then parental education on children’s extracurricular reading history did not affect the significant difference. This analyzes the reasons of the students in extracurricular reading deficiencies, including their own reasons, the school management and education sectors, family education and social atmosphere for total four reasons. Last but not the least, in order to improve children’s cultural education, training and lifelong learning to enhance history teaching level as a starting point, the child itself should be made active efforts, the school should increase investment the education departments should actively explore the reform of the evaluation system and scholarly community Construction.
